The vInspired awards are a national recognition scheme for young volunteers. They have been designed to celebrate the efforts and achievements of volunteers aged 14-25 in England and recognise the amazing things young people do.
They are designed to show colleges, universities and potential employers the positive impact young volunteers have had on their communities and the skills they have gained through their experiences.
We offer four vInspired awards:
The v10 is our starter award and is achieved by completing 10 hours of volunteering. Volunteers download the v10 certificate and print it off instantly (no validation is required).
The v30 award is achieved by completing 30 hours of volunteering.
Volunteers need to show an understanding of the skills they’ve used and the difference they’ve made.
The v50 award is achieved by completing 50 hours of volunteering.
As with the v30, volunteers need to show an understanding of the skills they’ve used and the difference they’ve made.
The v100 is currently our highest award, achieved by completing 100 hours of volunteering. Volunteers need to continue to show an understanding of the skills they’ve used and the impact they’ve made. In addition, they are asked to reflect on what they have learned through their volunteering.
Volunteering hours are counted cumulatively. If you have a v10, you’ll need 20 more hours to get a v30. Have a v30? You’ll need 20 more hours for a v50 and so on.
Each award can only be completed once. This is so there is a sense of progression through the awards. The v10 can be downloaded instantly. The v30, v50 and the v100 are sent out to the volunteers in the post by their chosen awards provider.
